Using a set task to buy food online from both PnP and it's competitors, we've engaged with PnP and seen how they out perform their competitors and in which ways they haven't.
Some of the aspects that did come up were:
- Pick 'n Pay has a wider range of available products and brands than other local competitors.
- Visually the website is more attractive and eye catching, yet the hierarchy isn't entirely correct.
- The delivery area that Pick 'n Pay has is bigger than other competitors, such as Thrupps.
- The system used in the Online shopping page is easier and more informative to use than other local systems.
- You don't need to be logged in in-order to browse through products
Business Objectives:
I interpretted Pick 'n Pay's business objectives as being the aim to create a shopping atmosphere of excellence, a place where customers want to be.
